JAKARTA Google launched a new way to explore the place and interact with the place on Maps. Only with augmented Reality (AR), users can experience immersive. To view the AR content added by Google, users only need to find locations that offer AR support in the Maps app. After that, tap the AR Experience icon to Street View appears and display the place they are looking for. Interestingly, AR Experience can bring users back to the past. For example, when users search for the Eiffel Tower, they can see the architectural concept of the building in the 1900s. Users will also see the information card. This card will appear around the place being viewed. When the Study button is Further taped, users will get more detailed information about the history and culture of the building in the past.

This AR Experience support is limited and not visible across all locations. At the end of this summer, Google will add AR Experience support to view the Notre-Dame Cathedral in 1789 and Bastille Saint-Antoine before the French Revolution. Google will also add Palais des Tuileries views before being destroyed hundreds of years ago. The AR experience can be seen when users visit its location directly or simply through the Street View feature in Maps. In addition to its limited location, AR Experience support devices are also limited. Not all devices can see this new feature. If the user devices are not compatible, they will only see the Immersive View feature while searching for the Eiffel Tower.
