JAKARTA Google Drive is a cloud-based storage service to back up various types of documents such as Word, PDF, images, and others. Now, Drive is more than just a storage area. This platform becomes more interesting after Google launched a new feature to create automatic transcription. This feature will make it easier for content creators who want to add subtitles or text to contain transcription of a video dialogue. "Ax that is automatically created makes it easier for your organization to create more text on videos, thereby increasing its accessibility," Google said via the Drive help page. In producing automatic transcripts, Google uses speech recognition technology to copy audio. This technology will quickly create a transcript after the user uploads videos on Google Drive and asks for automatic captions.

To use this feature, users can right-click on videos that are played on Drive, select Text Track Manage, then select Create Auto Caption. Users can also click the three-dot icon at the top right, then select the same menu and options. This automatic transcriptizer is available for personal Google accounts. Although it can speed up the transcription process, the process is not as fast as imagined. According to the Android Police trial, a 6-minute video takes about 10 minutes. Once the transcript process is complete, users can click the CC icon to display subtitles. For now, videos that can be transcribed are only English. Google plans to add another language in the future.

The English, Chinese, Japanese, Arabic, and French versions are automatically generated by the AI. So there may still be inaccuracies in translating, please always see Indonesian as our main language. (system supported by DigitalSiber.id)
