JAKARTA Grab Indonesia launched three new features to improve consumer convenience and security. The three features added to this Grab app are only available for GrabCar services. The first feature is Trip Monitoring. As the name implies, this feature will monitor the journey of its users by detecting travel in real-time. Trip Monitoring is designed to minimize the occurrence of unwanted actions. "Manual intervention is proactive in which Grab Support teams will contact passengers and drivers in the event of route deviations or unreasonable stops at any given hour, especially if they do not respond to notifications in Grab applications," Grab said. Next, there is an Audio Protect feature for automatic recording of votes once the user gives permission. This feature will start recording voice since driver partners receive user orders. Once it arrives at the destination, the feature will be disabled. The last feature that is still in the development stage is the Emergency Key. Grab will move the Emergency Button location in the passenger app at the end of this year. This button transfer is done so that passengers can find its features more easily.

In addition to launching the three features above, Grab also announced two new innovations, namely the Family Account and GrabCar Plus (NEW). Family accounts are launched to assist users in monitoring children's travel, relatives, or family in real-time. "If the admin has added family members to the Family Account, it will get automatic notifications and the ability to view the position of the car in real-time as they travel with Grab," Grab explained. Meanwhile, GrabCar Plus (NEW) is a GrabCar Plus trial with the latest standards. This innovation was launched with several advantages, such as the use of non-LCGC cars, a newer year of vehicle production, tighter vehicle quality selection, and others.
