All England's Official Instagram Is Missing And Its Backup Account Is Locked, Caused By Indonesian Netizens?

JAKARTA - The official Instagram account of All England 2021, suddenly disappeared today. When typing the account "allenglandofficial" in the search field, Instagram explains that the account does not exist.

The missing of All England Instagram account was also disclosed by the Twitter account @bulutangkisRI. "Was it taken down, wrong account or something?" tweeted @bulutangkisRI on Saturday, March 20.

Previously, the All England Instagram account was indeed being hunted by Indonesian netizens. The comments column is full of criticism and question for an explanation for the badminton tournament organizer because the Indonesian team was kicked out of the match.

There are two possible causes for the missing of an Instagram account. First, the account is deleted or disabled by the owner. Second, many netizens have reported these accounts to Instagram. Usually, accounts are reported for being annoying.

Most recently, All England allegedly created a backup Instagram account with the name "allengland". In the account, it is explained, "[Backup Account] The All England Open Badminton Championship is the World's oldest badminton tournament, held annually in England," wrote the statement of the account.

This account has uploaded 34 photos, with over 400 followers. When VOI searched a few hours ago, the account made settings by limiting the comments column.

When viewed, it turned out that this account was again attacked by Indonesian citizens. Many netizens sported the Indonesian flag icon and shouted the word "unfair" in the comments column.

After some time, the @allengland account was locked and has not yet received additional followers.

The beginning of the problem

The entire Indonesian badminton team was forced to withdraw from the prestigious All England 2021 tournament. This happened after the discovery of a positive case of COVID-19 on the plane that carrying out Marcus Gideon and friends.

It all started when the British health authority, National Health Security (NHS) sent emails to 20 of the 24 members of the Indonesian team who were in Birmingham. Basically, they ordered the Indonesian team to return to the hotel to undergo independent isolation until March 23.

The Indonesian team will be at the Crowne Plaza Birmingham City Center. The NHS explained that on the plane carrying the Indonesian contingent from Istanbul to Birmingham there were passengers who were positive for COVID-19.

In the email, it was explained that if a person is on a flight with a person who is positive for COVID-19, then that person must undergo an isolation period of 10 days. Even though the person is negative for COVID-19 based on the latest tests.
