JAKARTA - Telkomsel, a leading digital telco company in Indonesia, through Telkomsel Ventures leads funding at the Tictag startup which is a data-centric AI company, along with M Venture Partners, East Ventures, Investible, and SBI Ven Capital.

Through this funding, Telkomsel emphasized its commitment to opening up collaboration opportunities to accelerate the growth of the digital innovation ecosystem, digital transformation, and the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology in Indonesia and Asia.

"The quality and performance of AI artificial intelligence really depends on the data used to train it. Therefore, strategic investment in Tictags is carried out based on an analysis of Tictag's ability to open the AI potential as a whole," said Telkomsel Ventures CEO Mia Melinda.

This investment is also an important step for Telkomsel Ventures in realizing Telkomsel's vision and mission to accelerate the national digital ecosystem and improve Indonesia's digital economy.

Tictag is a startup founded in 2019 in Singapore with a mission to increase the use of AI by all parties, which now serves more than 50 companies in various sectors in Asia.

Tictag, which has been operating in Singapore, South Korea, Indonesia, Malaysia, Hong Kong, and the United States, plans to take advantage of new investments to expand its business reach in Indonesia and Asia to offset the rapid growth of the AI market in the region.
