JAKARTA - Together with the Digital Data Center (BDDC), an in-city data center provider with integrated digital interconnectivity and system, inaugurate the JST 1 (East South Jakarta) data center facility, located in East Jakarta.

JST1 is the second data center to be inaugurated by BDDC in the last two years following JBT1 (West Jakarta Tangerang) which is located in West Jakarta.

JST 1 is a Tier IV data center with a capacity of 5 MW, which is also a central interconnectivity supported by neutral operators with more than 100 network service providers and various routes.

This facility is also supported by direct connectivity to the Indonesia Internet Exchange (IIX), Open-IX (OIXP), and other internet exchanges nationally and globally.

"The presence of JST1 will support better performance and lower latency for data center needs of various businesses in Indonesia, because close proximity to end users produces safer connectivity, with high network transmission," said President Commissioner of the Joint Digital Data Center (BDDC) Setyanto Hantoro.

In an effort to expand the data center capacity, Setyanto explained that BDDC is committed to meeting business production requirements and the disaster recovery center (DRC), point of title or availability zone, and is supported by various routes between JBT and JST.

"In the future, BDDC plans to develop a capacity of up to 32 MW in JST and 30 MW locations at JBT locations. This expansion is expected to encourage interconnectivity to meet the needs of edge data center services in various business sectors and domestic and foreign business scale for daily operational activities," said Setyanto.

Meanwhile, JST1 is a data center facility with a Tier IV standard that can accommodate 1,008 racks in 8 floors of the data space, and a dual electricity source as a comprehensive solution on one BDDC platform, to support storage needs with reliable operational quality, as well as data exchange with low latency and high performance.
