JAKARTA Apple released a software update for the iPhone, Mac, Vision Pro, and much more. Small devices like AirPods also get a specially launched firmware for developers. The fermware version that Apple releases for AirPods is 7A524b. Not only launched specifically for developers who join the beta testing, this latest firmware is only available for AirPods Pro 2. There are several features that Apple adds to the 7A524b firmware. Reporting from 9to5mac, users can nod and shake their heads to interact with Siri once their devices are updated. Users will also get enhanced sound isolation and more personalized spatial audio. In addition, Apple also adds head tracking capabilities to users who like to play games. All these capabilities can be used by non-beta users after the firmware is released publicly. To see if the firmware for your AirPods Pro 2 is already available, go to Settings on the connected device, click the AirPods Pro menu, then tap the Version section.

In addition to AirPods Pro 2, Apple will also release software updates in other AirPods models in stages. Audio devices that will definitely get firmware updates are the first generation AirPods Pro and the first to third generation AirPods. The first generation AirPods Pro will get the same firmware as the first to second generation AirPods, while the first generation AirPods will get a special update version such as the AirPods Pro 2.
