Xiaomi 14 Starts Using HyperOS 2.0

JAKARTA - Recently, Xiaomi HyperOS 2.0 has become a hot topic in the tech community, especially as it is rumored to bring significant changes to HyperOS 1.0. Xiaomi has prepared Beta versions for several selected Xiaomi/Redmi devices to run them.

A recently leaked screenshot of China's Xiaomi community platform, shows Xiaomi 14 running an internal version of HyperOS 2.0,240703. This is the initial build of HyperOS 2.0 being tested on Xiaomi 14.

Currently, three models have been set up for the Beta program which will begin in August: Xiaomi 14, Xiaomi 14 Pro, and Redmi K60 Ultra. Xiaomi HyperOS 2.0 will launch simultaneously with the Xiaomi 15 Series at the end of October.

The global launch of Xiaomi HyperOS 2.0 is expected to begin in late December and early January. The models expected to be first updated to this significant update are Xiaomi 14, Xiaomi 14 Ultra, Xiaomi 14T, Xiaomi 14T Pro, and Poco F6 Series. More devices will follow later.

Although details are certainly not yet known, leaks suggest that HyperOS 2.0 will be an incremental improvement of HyperOS 1.0. It is said that this update will address some of the problems from previous versions, one of which is providing a more detailed changelog on updates on devices. System optimization is expected, including smoother animations, better power efficiency, and longer battery life.

In the past, Xiaomi has focused on implementing AI in its double-Home People's car strategy. Therefore, AI will be in the spotlight again in Xiaomi HyperOS 2.0. Several new AI features are expected to roll out, and Xiaomi Hypermind is also expected to get an update into Hypermind+. HyperOS 2.0 will be very focused on the connection of Xiaomi ecosystem products, with the aim of providing a smooth ecosystem experience for its users.
