JAKARTA After being tested in March, Microsoft finally added a spelling check feature and automatic corrections to the Notepad application. This update is added via Windows 11. The spelling check and corrections in Notepad have the same way of working as features in the Word or Edge application. This feature will show incorrect words performed with red lines. Unfortunately, the wrong spelling is not corrected automatically. To see the spelling improvement, the user must click the right button on the touchpad or mouse, then click the spelling menu. Once a true spelling series appears, the user can click on one of the spellings that is deemed appropriate. Still in the spelling section, the user will see two additional options, namely adding spelling to the library or turning off the spelling check. If turned off, this feature will stop highlighting text according to the mismanage system. The user also activates or disables spelling checking features and corrections based on file types in Notepad such as md,...srt,...lrc, or...lic. This ability can be adjusted through the setting of the Notepad application.

Microsoft has been rolling out spelling checker features since 1985, but this feature has only been added to Notepad. In fact, the built-in app on this Windows device has been rolling out since 1983 and has been working for more than 40 years. The spelling check and corrections are not the only features added to Notepad via Windows 11 updates. Microsoft has launched features such as character count, dark mode, tab, Copilot integration, and much more.
