Real Fund Steps In Supporting The Eradication Of Online Gambling By The Government

JAKARTA - In line with the government's steps in eradicating online gambling, DANA digital wallets as part of the financial technology industry, participating in supporting the Government and Regulators in carrying out their duties.

"In the era of collaboration and synergy, DANA always cooperates with various cross-sectoral authorities, including Bank Indonesia, the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, as well as the Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK) to ensure compliance elements are implemented," said Vince Iswara, CEO & Co-Founder of DANA Indonesia in his statement.

In tackling online gambling, DANA is actively involved in discussions with regulators and other industry players, to share views on the pattern of online gambling modus operandi and mitigation steps in the future.

DANA also continues to report to the relevant ministries of websites that are indicated to have committed illegal acts and used the DANA trademark as one of the payment options used.

In addition, the anti-money laundering work unit team and the prevention of internal terrorism financing DANA also continue to carry out its functions in the process of identifying and reporting suspicious financial transactions indicated online gambling and consulting with relevant authorities in seeing the latest trends from online gambling practices.

Perfecting all these efforts, DANA launched a social media campaign titled 'Monitor, Confirmation, and Report' which has been running since early July until the end of the year.

Offline education is also the next DANA agenda by involving communities, across industries, and authorities, to ensure more impactful education.

This educational effort targets community groups categorized as special groups according to the spirit of SNKI, including MSMEs, women, and young people.
