Area 51, An Identical Mysterious Place With UFOs

JAKARTA For years, conspiracies in Area 51 have continued to grow. Many believe that this isolated place was used to hide unidentified flying objects (UFOs). Located in Nevada, in Groom Lake, Area 51 is a secret place belonging to the US Air Force. The area was founded since 1955 as part of the Nevada Test and Training complex and was once used by Lockheed Martin. Although considered a place of UFO and alien detention, author and Investigator Benjamin Radford said that this base is not as big as people envision. The area is indeed large, but the base was deliberately created small. "The base itself is quite small, but the area is banned around it is more than 90,000 hectares (36,000 hectares), in part to prevent peery spies and partly because they need to test a secret plane," said Ranford, quoted from Space. The area is indeed known as Area 51, but Ranford explains that the government calls this region a Nevada Test and Training Range. This region has also been recognized since 2013 after the classified documents of the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) leaked.

Area 51 is a region full of UFO conspiracy because activities at this base are highly kept secret. However, Ranford believes that the area is only used for testing secret spy planes, not UFO research sites. "It's true that light and strange aircraft can sometimes be seen in such areas, so this is a clear leap to UFOs, but of course, a new (which is being tested) aircraft may look identical," explains Ranford. If the public demands evidence that this place is not used for UFO research, it will never happen. The reason is, this place is used for very secret military activity and should not be disclosed to the public.

Ranford also doesn't believe people who say they see aliens or UFOs in the area. According to him, "There's no reason to think that something is related to UFOs."

Area 51 Facts

As mentioned earlier, Lockheed Martin has used this area. In a leaked CIA document, Lockheed developed an eight-month U-2 aircraft for an undisclosed purpose. The aircraft could reach an altitude of 70,000 feet, an excellent ability for aircraft development in 1955. Unfortunately, 5 years after it was developed, the aircraft was actually shot by Soviet anti-air missiles until it crashed. Shortly after the shooting, the CIA re-developed a titanium-body plane called A12. The aircraft could fly across the United States continent within 70 minutes and was barely detected by radar.
