Jessica Iskandar Clarifies Posting a Photo with Sarwendah, Denies Insulting Ruben Onsu

JAKARTA - Actress and presenter Jessica Iskandar finally spoke up after uploading a photo of her together with Sarwendah on social media that sparked speculation among netizens.

Vincent Verhaag's wife gave a firm clarification so that her post was not associated with issues or conflicts that were currently affecting fellow artists.

Through a post on his Instagram Stories, the woman who is familiarly called Jedar explained that his intention to upload a previous content was only a form of appreciation for a friend, without any hidden intentions.

"Friends, the story I uploaded has nothing to do with any issue or conflict. I uploaded it purely as a moment of friendship and gave praise as I often do to many friends," wrote Jessica Iskandar, quoted by VOI, Wednesday, August 5.

Considering Jedar's closeness to Sarwendah, many netizens suspect that Jedar's upload is a form of support or indirect comment on his best friend's domestic problems.

However, Jedar emphasized that he remained in a neutral position and respected the privacy of others. He stated that he had no desire to interfere in anyone's personal affairs.

"I don't mean to take sides or comment on anyone's personal affairs. Thank you for your understanding," continued Jedar.

Responding to this, a number of netizens on the Threads platform gave support to Jedar. Some of them felt relieved because Jedar still behaved well to Sarwendah in a difficult situation, but was still able to maintain professional and personal boundaries.

"I know my brother doesn't mean anything. I know my brother doesn't side with anyone. But there are also not a few artists who stay away from Sarwendah. But kak @inijedar is still kind to Sarwendah," wrote one netizen who re-uploaded Jedar's statement.
