JAKARTA - The world is getting closer to the launch of the iPhone 16 series and the highly anticipated Google Pixel 9 series. The Pixel 9 launch event, which was supposed to take place in mid-October or November, has now been pushed back two months earlier on August 13.

Meanwhile, the iPhone 16 series is scheduled to be released in September. Many leaks have circulated on the internet about these two devices. Now the latest information reveals that the iPhone 16 Pro and Pixel 9 series will use the best OLED screen in the industry today.

The iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max as well as the Pixel 9 series, including the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL, and Pixel Fold 2 will use Samsung's OLED M14 panel.

A report from a Korean publication, ETNews, revealed that these two series will not use screen technology similar to the Galaxy S24 series as previously thought. Instead, these devices will feature the best OLED panels ever produced in the industry.

The Advantages Of The M14 OLED Panel

According to reports, the M14 OLED panels to be used in the Pixel 9 and iPhone 16 Pro series use advanced materials such as "HyperEffiscient EL," which increases the efficiency of the blue light emitting layer.

This results in an increase in brightness by 30% for brighter highlights compared to previous M13 OLED panels. Samsung has also increased its optical efficiency by implementing lower-dispersion CPL materials.

Although the M14 panel is expected to provide a significant improvement over today's technology, the basic variant of the iPhone 16 series is expected to continue using the previous generation OLED panel, namely M12. This decision is intended to maintain a balance between performance and cost efficiency in the product lineup.
