The New Android 15 Feature Can Make Your Phone More Difficult To Steal

JAKARTA - Following the launch of Android 15, Google has finally announced a series of new features to Android 15, which is considered to be able to make your smartphone more secure from data theft.

The first new feature is Theft Detection Lock, this feature that uses Google AI will automatically detect if someone takes your phone from your hand and tries to run, cycle, or drive it.

If the theft movement is detected, it will be immediately locked to keep your information from falling into the wrong hands. This advanced feature will be launched by the end of 2024.

Not only that, by the end of this year, Google Play Protect will use AI on devices to detect apps that may be involved in real-time scams or phishing.

If Google Play Protect finds something that looks dangerous, the app will be sent to Google for additional review, and Google will warn users or disable the app.

In addition to the two features that will make your phone more secure, Google is also rolling out several other additional features such as the ability to create digital versions of cards with Google Wallet.

Then, Google has also collaborated with Qualcomm so that you can immediately access augmented reality (AR) content directly on Google Maps on your phone.

Google will also roll out more apps to Android Auto, making it easier for you to find new content on Google TV thanks to Gemini support.
