JAKARTA - Walt Disney and Warner Bros Discovery will offer a bundle of Disney+, Hulu, and Max streaming services in the United States starting this summer, a statement issued by the two companies on Wednesday, May 8.

Customers will be able to register on one of three individual websites and choose from plans without advertising or with advertising support. No price was disclosed.

Both Disney and Warner Bros. tried to build their streaming business as customers left traditional cable packages, in part because many of them refused to pay for large bundles with dozens of channels.

However, with the increasing number of streaming apps, consumers complain about having to register for multiple subscriptions.

Disney/Warner bundles will simplify payments with one bill, and may offer discounts from each app's subscription fees separately.

More details will be announced in the coming weeks, the two companies said.

Disney+ offers animated films and live-actions of companies as well as films and TV shows from Marvel, Star Wars, and Pixar. Hulu features series from FX, ABC, and other networks, as well as movies.

Warner Bros.'s Max is home to premium channels HBO and HGTV, Food Network, Discovery Channel, and other cable networks.

Disney+ and Hulu are already available through one app, meaning new bundle subscribers will be able to watch all programs through two apps. Disney and Warner Bros. shares do not change in post-hour trading.
