JAKARTA - Virtual reality developer (VR) Victoria VR has announced its integration with the intelligence giant created by OpenAI, the creator of the popular generative artificial intelligence tool ChatGPT.

The new implementation will allow users to experience the integration of their first artificial intelligence through the Victoria VR artificial intelligence platform, which allows the development of virtual reality experiences through artificial intelligence algorithms.

"For end users, this means unprecedented access to AI-backed capabilities in virtual reality, enhancing their development and creativity processes. Over time, this will lead to more sophisticated and immersive virtual experiences," said Adam B\'em, CEO and co-founder of Victoria VR.

Victoria VR AI developers allow users to design their own 3D virtual reality experiences, games, and apps without requiring programming knowledge. OpenAI integration will allow for various new content developments, ranging from items in virtual games and accessories to metaverse platforms.

Players will be able to create this experience using the promotion of AI ChatGPT. User-generated content in Victoria VR is requested as a non-fungible token, making content traded.

Although AI and VR are currently some of the most trending technologies, both have significant limitations. Although the VR experience is still in its early stages, hardware is very expensive, with the latest Quest 3 from Meta selling the basic 128GB edition for $499 and 512GB edition for US$649 (IDR 10.3 million).

As for the AI system, "halusination" is the biggest concern. AI halusination is an unintentional result of large language model training that occurs when AI models issue new information, which is usually not true, which is not found in the dataset.

Victoria VR also plans to integrate other AI technologies, such as DALL-E, Midjourney, and Stable Diffusion. Victoria VR is currently available on Apple Vision Pro and Oculus Quest 3.

The platform leverages Unreal Engine 5, one of the most popular gaming machines, with more than 7.5 million active developers.

With the current pace of progress, AI will be the main driver of the development of virtual reality in the next five years.

"Currently, AI allows the creation of sophisticated text, code, and images, and is on the verge of changing the production of videos and the creation of 3D objects. With the pace of advancement of AI technology, it is anticipated that in the next five years, AI will primarily drive the development of virtual reality, making traditional roles such as VR developers, 3D modelers, and programmers take on the role of the background," said B\'em.

AI has created new possibilities for gaming, including an infinite narrative generated by AI, and a more interactive nonplayer (NPC) character with a more realistic response.
