Supporting Game Industry Potential, Google Play X Unity Game Developer Training Program Officially Opened

JAKARTA Google establishes partnership with Unity and the Indonesian Game Association (AGI). Through this partnership, Google launched a Unity training program and certification for paradevelopers.

Programs with the name Google Play Play x Unity Game Developer Training will be opened for free. Developers from around the world can choose one of three learnings, namely the Game Developer, Artist, or Programmer.

All participants of the Google Play x Unity Game Developer Training will take part in online training with a total of 30 hours. If participants succeed in participating in the training series until completion, they will get Unity's official certification.

Director of Google Play Southeast Asia and Australia Kunal Soni said that this program has been running since 2023. This program continues to be improved and Google plans to receive 500 participants, five times the number last year.

"We learned a lot from the implementation of the first year and we have applied the lessons to make the program in 2024 bigger and better," Soni said in a statement received by VOI.

During the program, the participants will get courses with online schedules that can be managed independently, learning 10 modules, skills training in the game industry, and direct meetings to develop professional networks.

With the opening of this program, Google wants to develop technical talents to encourage potential games. In line with the statement of the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Uno, this training can make a significant economic contribution.

"We really appreciate the Google Play and Unity initiatives that not only help the government achieve our target of coaching up to 3 thousand evanescents this year, but also help us to continue to improve the skills of the new generation," said Sandiaga Uno.
