Motorola Will Switch From Dragontrain Glass To Gorilla Glass

JAKARTA Corning Gorilla Glass is one of the most widely used types of screen protectors, but not the only option. Like Motorola, for example, they prefer Dragontrain Glass.

In terms of violent testing, Gorilla Glass is more impact resistant than Dragontrain Glass. The difference between the two is not much, but Gorilla Glass is synonymous with mobile phones and Dragontrain is synonymous with mid-range class.

After years of using the Dragontrain made byten Glass Co. (AGC), Motorola decided to switch to its competitor, Corning. The transition from Dragontrain to Gorilla Glass was announced at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2024.

Quoting from 9to5google,Motorolawill use Gorilla Glass on their latest cellphones. It is not yet known which phone model will be launched, but the types of protectors have been announced, namely Gorilla Glass 5 and Gorilla Glass Victus 2.

"Today, to strengthen our commitment to durability, we are excited to announce that all Motorola equipment portfolios in 2024 will feature Corning Gorilla Glass, starting in the second half of this year," Motorola said.

With the change in the type of screen shield used, the resistance of Motorola's medium-range devices can be equivalent to its devices in the flagship class. This is good news for Motorola mobile fans for the middle class.

In addition to announcing the use of Gorilla Glass on its newest device, Motorola also announced the software they are going to launch, namely Smart Connect. This software can be connected to a Lenovo laptop.

Smart Connect can sync notifications on two devices, sync the use of clipboards, and make Motorola phones or tablets a webcam and hotspots. The plan, Smart Connect will be launched in the near future.
