World First, Lenovo Showcases Transparent Laptops At MWC 2024

JAKARTA Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2024, the annual technology exhibition at Barcelona, officially opened on Monday, February 26. Many companies were present at the event, one of which was Leonard.

For four days, Lenovo will show off the latest ThinkPad and ThinkBook laptops. Despite the six laptops on display, the most prominent laptop is the ThinkBook Transparent Display Laptop Concept with a futuristic concept.

The ThinkBook Transparent Display Laptop Concept is the world's first transparent laptop with a 17.3-inch Micro-LED screen. If the device is not turned on, this laptop will penetrate the view and show the object behind it.

Interestingly, the keyboard section of the Concept Laptop Transparent Display ThinkBook also looks transparent. The footwear design is made like floating so that this device looks simple, sophisticated, and expensive at the same time.

"With an unlimited screen, a transparent keyboard area, and a floating-looking footwear design, this device easily emits the impression of high-tech simplicity," Lenovo said, quoted from the company's blog.

The Chinese company includes the Artificial Intelligence Generated Content (AIGC) capabilities to increase work efficiency. With this technology, the transparent screen can interact with physical accessories such as pens.

Another application that is considered by Lenovo is the problem of reflection of light. To avoid a poor display due to light, Lenovo combines color saturation and contrast with a high brightness of 1000 nits.

This technology also offers more possibilities in the future with further optimization of image quality, durability, and adjustable transmission to provide more privacy, "explained Lenovo.
