JAKARTA 'Platform X, formerly known as Twitter, launched audio and video calling features in October last year. This feature was released for users of X with a Premium account.
Elon Musk, the owner of platform X, said in early February that unsubscribed Premium accounts could still use the feature. However, the feature still has to be developed until it is ready to be widely implemented.
After several months of waiting, X finally launched audio and video calling features for non-Premium users. The launch of this feature was announced by Senior Software Engineer Platform X Enrique Barragan.
We are slowly rolling out audio and video calls to non-Premium users, try! Now you can also choose to allow calls from everyone," Enrique said on Saturday, February 24.

It is not yet known which countries have received the feature, but Indonesia is not included. Seeing the slow presence of this feature on Android devices, the feature may be expanded in the coming months.
If this feature has been extended to all non-Premium accounts, users must activate the feature first before use. This call feature can be enabled via Settings in the Direct Messages (DM) special tab.
Once the feature is enabled, select the desired call control. Users can receive calls from everyone, from accounts connected to phone contacts, from users of blue tick accounts, or from the people they follow.
