JAKARTA - Samsung Electronics, TELUS, and Amazon Web Services (AWS) announced that they will collaborate in developing a roaming architecture to travel abroad.

Through this collaboration, Samsung and AWS will make TELUS the first telecommunication provider in North America to provide better reliability and higher speed of traffic.

Roaming services are usually channeled through their home countries to support voice, data, or SMS shipments. However, with a more revolutionary approach, TELUS will host a network of customers from AWS regions around the world.

Later, Roamingini traffic will no longer need to be provided through Canada, the location from TELUS, because traffic will be directed directly to the nearest AWS area. This process also uses the Cloud-native Core from Samsung to optimize the quality of communication.

Vice President and Head of Samsung Network in Canada, Stephen Wiktorski, said that the Cloud-Native Coredirkan technology is based on flexibility and scalability. Therefore, TELUS's roaming traffic will work well.

"By ensuring higher stability and reliability, Samsung is strengthening TELUS's new roaming approach to providing network performance and unmatched customer experience while traveling," said Wiktorski in an official statement.

Meanwhile, AWS, who provided network cloudification assistance, said he was enthusiastic about the cooperation. AWS believes that this collaboration can improve the capabilities of the TELUS network and create the best telecommunications experience.

"Together with our AWS Partners, we are excited about TELUS' way of improving their network capabilities to provide global services that are consistent and reliable for their customers," said General Manager of the AWS Telecommunication Business Unit Chivas Nambiar.

Samsung, TELUS, and AWS will test the virtual roasting gateaway they built in the first quarter of this year. In addition to focusing on the reliability of roaming traffic, this collaboration will also lead to disaster recovery and cases of using 5G self-contained cores.
