JAKARTA - Nokia and Dell Technologies have agreed to partner to help implement a private 5G network and adjust it to the cloud, they said in a joint statement on Thursday, February 15.
Private 5G networks tend to be owned, operated, or leased by individual organizations.
Customer Nokia AirFrame, a data center business focused on the cloud from the telecommunications equipment manufacturer, will later migrate to Dell's PowerEdge server which is "built specifically for the workload of modern telecommunications networks," they said in a statement.
Meanwhile, Nokia's Digital Automation Cloud (NDAC) will become Dell's personal wireless platform for certain needs of the company's customers.
The companies will expand existing partnerships and work to integrate NDAC with Dell's NativeEdge software platform, as they seek "to advance open network architecture in the telecommunications ecosystem and personal 5G use cases among businesses," they said in a statement.
