Axiom 3 Mission Crew Failed To Return On Time Due To Weather Conditions

JAKARTA The United States Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), Axiom Space, and SpaceX plan to repatriate the crew of MissionAxiom 3 on Saturday, February 3, but this plan must be canceled.

The Dragon spacecraft, which carried four astronauts, could not return to Earth due to unfavorable weather conditions. SpaceX, the owner of Dragon, announced that Axiom 3's return had been pushed back to February 5.

Processundocking or the release of aircraft from the International Space Station (ISS) must also be canceled for further trials. Weather conditions have not yet recovered according to SpaceX and the ISS so that the return date has been pushed back to February 6.

The plan is that the docking process will be carried out at 12 p.m. Florida time. Managers from NASA, Axiom Space, and SpaceX also participated in reviewing weather conditions so that the four crews could return home safely.

If the weather conditions are still unstable, NASA says that, (We will) set new target opportunities for the departure of the space station and the landing of the Dragon spacecraft and crew members of Axiom

Commander Michael L!pez-Alegr!, Pilot Walter Villade, Mission Specialist Marcus Wandt, and Mission Specialist Alper Gezeravci have spent two weeks on the ISS. The four astronauts have conducted dozens of scientific experiments.

The various experiments they conducted were microgravity-style research, demonstrations of technology, and useful science experiments for education. The four crews also mapped the path to Axiom's commercial station.
