JAKARTA Arkham Intelligence's blockchain analytics firm recently revealed the number of Bitcoins belonging to world-leading investment manager companies including BlackRock, Bitwise, Fidelity, and Franklin Templeton.

Arkham announced that his party had identified four lists of linked addresses with four new Bitcoin Fund Exchange-Trad (ETF) spots. This address group is said to be linked to fund managers including Blackrock cs.

The Bitcoin spot ETF is an investment product that buys and stores Bitcoin directly, in contrast to the futures Bitcoin ETF which purchases Bitcoin futures contracts. Bitcoin spot ETF is considered more profitable for investors because it does not have a rollover or premium cost related to futures contracts.

According to its official blog post on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, Arkham Intelligence has found four out of ten Bitcoin spot ETFs approved by the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) for trading on US exchanges. Previously, the company had revealed the ownership of GBTC, the world's largest crypto investment product managed by Grayscale.

With this latest discovery, Arkham has identified half of the number of Bitcoin spot ETFs in the United States market. " Arkham has identified the onchain locations of four Bitcoin ETFs," the company said on Tuesday. "We are the first to publicly identify these addresses."

Arkham revealed the initial list of addresses, which are claimed to belong to Blackrock and are linked to the IBIT ETF. However, the identified addresses contain only 39,925 BTC, fewer than 44,004 BTC reported by IBIT. The analysis shows IBIT funds are distributed to multiple addresses, each hosting a maximum of 1,200 BTC. In addition, Franklin Templeton's EZBC ETF has also been identified, with onchain ownership in line with the figures reported by the asset manager.

Arkham's investigation also revealed ownership of Fidelity's Wise Origin spot bitcoin ETF, FBTC, which shows ownership of 34,127 BTC. The findings are consistent with Fidelity's latest update as of January 23, 2024. Wallets for Bitwise's BITB fund have also been identified, hosting 11,188 BTC. In addition, Bitwise manages additional crypto assets for the Bitwise 10 Crypto Index Fund, known as BITW.

Coinbase Custody oversees the assets of all the above-mentioned ETFs, except Fidelity. Fidelity, on the other hand, uses its own deposit service to manage its bitcoin (BTC) reserves. From other three ETF transactions, Coinbase often appears as the main partner. The availability of onchain data about these new funds significantly increases the transparency of the crypto market.
