JAKARTA - Jukai Studio, the developer of the horror game Stray Souls, is officially closed. Posted through X, this closure was caused by the closure of Versus Evil, the publisher.

"After much deliberation and recalling today's news that our publishers have announced the shutdown, we decided not to delay informing you that we will close Jukai Studio," the studio wrote on X.

Although this closure was due for many reasons, they said that the main reason was cyberbullying, and the poor welcome for their debut project, Stray Souls.

"We are aware that you have high expectations of Stray Souls, but we never told you that only two core individuals, along with the contracted personnel, were working on the game," explained Jukai Studio.

Studio admitted that although they had made every effort to complete this project, the company's publisher staff, development team, and closed-door teams continued to receive cyber attacks.

However, Jukai Studio has taken legal action over the case. "This problem is now in the hands of our lawyers, so we can't talk about it any further, but know that we won't leave it even though the studio has been closed."

However, Stray Souls, which was launched in October 2023 for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PS4, Xbox One, and PC, can still be played.
