Bhima Bagaskara decided to leave his position as Coldiac's bass player.
Through an announcement made on his Instagram account, Bhima stated that he was no longer a member of the band from Malang.
"After much consideration, I have decided to no longer be an active member of Coldiac," wrote Bhima, quoting the caption of the upload, Monday, July 6.
"It doesn't feel like the journey has been this far since 2015. Thank you to my friends at Coldiac and the team who have become like brothers in both joy and sorrow," he continued.
Even though he has taken the stance of leaving the band, Bhima said he will still complete the work that has not been completed with Coldiac.
"Although this decision is official and agreed upon, I will not leave my work at Coldiac just like that. I will still complete all commitments that have been running until the end of 2026, and hopefully there will be some more stages that we can enjoy together," he said.
The bassist also did not forget to thank the fans - Coldiac Squaw - for the support he has received so far.
"To Coldiac Squaw who has always supported our journey so far, thank you very much, I will entrust my friends at Coldiac to you," he said. "Greetings to you for all the memories, support, and love that you have shared so far. I love you all."
The announcement was made to prevent confusion that could have a negative impact on the business of Coldiac and its partners.
"I apologize very much, I don't want this to be a drama and develop into a confusing news out there. This is purely a form of ethics and good faith for me to the parties who may regret this happening, especially for some business partners who happen to be in direct contact with me as the manager. Hopefully it can be accepted well," he said.
For information, together with Coldiac, Bhima has produced three full albums, namely "Heartbreaker" (2016), "O" (2018), "No Make Up" (2020), and "Lemons Make Lemonade" (2023).
Since its formation eleven years ago, Coldiac has been nominated four times at the AMI Awards, with one win through the Best R&B Duo/Group/Vocal Group/Collaboration category in 2024.
