JAKARTA Since 2020, WhatsApp has added dark mode on their website. This mode option is a good option for users who don't like bright mode.

Initially, WhatsApp only presented dark mode as part of the theme. However, in the latest findings, WhatsApp plans to develop this dark mode in terms of color in the background to the interface of its website.

First discovered by WABetaInfo, WhatsApp will update its dark theme on their website. On the new look, the theme color will be blacker and more dominating. In fact, this black color looks up to the side-bar.

In addition to changes in color, the appearance of the website will also change to more aesthetics. In the current website view, you will see the side-bar at the top and the profile display in the upper left corner of the screen.

However, in the latest view, this side-bar will be moved to the left side of the screen and the profile photo display will disappear. At the top of the line, users will see a New Messages icon and a vertical three-dot icon to set WhatsApp.

Under the two icons, users will see a search box to find messages. Meanwhile, at the bottom of the search box, users will view filters to simplify the view of messages to All, Unread, Contact, and Groups.

This update is still being worked on by WhatsApp, even the company under the auspices of Meta hasn't released it to beta. Given that this new look is still under development, WhatsApp won't be releasing the update anytime soon.
