Survey: The Majority Of Buyers Use Smartphones For Shopping During Harbolnas 2023

JAKARTA - The 2023 National Online Shopping Day (Harbolnas) has been completed for three days, namely 11 - 13 December, with total transactions reaching IDR 25.7 trillion.

Some time ago, the Indonesian E-Commerce Association (idEA) together with NIQ Indonesia released a report, which contains anything during the 2023 Harbolnas.

The report, which was made based on data from 1,070 respondents who had internet access and were over 15 years old, also found that the majority (88 percent) of them knew about Harbolnas 2023.

In addition, this report also sees where Harbolnas buyers mostly (96%) use the application only through their smartphone to shop for Harbolnas.

Meanwhile, 19 percent of buyers admitted to using laptops to shop online during the 2023 Harbolnas event.

Of these, 72 percent of buyers admitted to shopping through smartphone applications, 20 percent using applications and websites, and the other 8 percent only using websites.

Then, for the payment problem throughout December 11-13, NIQ found that 67 percent of customers chose to use the e-wallet payment method.

In the next ranking is the Cash on Delivery (COD) payment method with 32 percent, Virtual Account (VA) with 26 percent, and Mobile Banking with 22 percent.
