JAKARTA - Google Cloud and Mistral AI are working together to allow generative AI startups based in Paris, France, to distribute their language models to the tech giant infrastructure. This was announced jointly by the two companies on Wednesday, December 13.

"As part of this deal, the AI Mistral will use Google Cloud's AI infrastructure, including TPU Accelerators, to further test, build and scale their large language models (LLMs), all while benefiting from Google Cloud's security and privacy standards," the joint statement said.

Big language models are trained with large amounts of data to produce text and other content.

The AI Mistral - founded by former AI Meta and Google researchers - announced on Monday 11 December that it had raised 385 million euros (Rp 6.4 trillion) in its second funding round within seven months, led by investors such as Andreessen-Horowitz and LightSpeed Venture.
