Instagram Live Producer Update: Go Live with Third-Party Apps

JAKARTA - Meta Platform Inc. announced an update to Instagram's live producer feature, which will make it easier for professional account owners to broadcast live using third-party tools via a desktop PC.

"If you use a professional account, you can now broadcast live on Instagram using streaming software such as OBS or Streamlabs via stream key," wrote Instagram Head, Adam Mosseri in his broadcast channel on Instagram.

This update will allow more content creators to stream live on the app at higher quality.

With Instagram Live Producer, you'll have access to Instagram's off-camera production tools, including additional cameras, external microphones, and graphics.

“This is a highly requested feature, and we're excited to see how you use it,” Mosseri continued.

On the other hand, Adam Mosseri also previously announced that his party was creating a fact-checking program on Threads. The plan is that this program will be launched next year.

With this program, Threads wants to reduce the spread of disinformation content. Although the description of this program has not been explained in more detail, it seems that this program will collaborate with third parties.
