JAKARTA Since the beginning of this year, Google plans to add a movement detection feature in Google Meet. With this feature, users only need to raise their hand when they want to ask questions.

The discourse that has emerged over the past few months has finally been realized. In the 9to5google report, this feature will be launched in the coming weeks. However, there is no official release date from Google yet.

Before this feature appeared, Google Meet had presented a special feature for users to intervene in the meeting. This feature is called Raise Hand or Handlifting, but the shape is still a button.

The Handlifting feature is at the bottom. When this icon is tapped, other users or hosts can know that you want to say something. This feature is very useful in online meetings that have a question and answer session.

However, hand detection will feel much easier than this button. Users only need to raise their hands until the indicator appears on the screen. This indicator will move and give your handlifting command.

Make sure to raise your hands until the indicator appears and disappears from the screen. In addition, keep your hands off your face and body so that Google Meet can properly detect your hands.

This feature can be activated and disabled via Options, then open Reaction and select Handlifting Movement. Although it will be launched in the coming weeks, not all users can feel this feature.

The Handlifting detection feature will only be available to Google Workspace Business Plus, Business Standard, Enterprise Essentials, Enterprise Plus, Enterprise Standard, Enterprise Starter, Education Plus, Teaching and Learning Upgrade subscriber, and Individual Google Workspace subscriber.
