Users Can Now Delete Separate Threads Accounts With Instagram

JAKARTA - Continuing to develop its new social media application, Instagram Head Adam Mosseri has just released two new features to Threads to make it easier for users to manage their own accounts.

Pertama, Mosseri mengatakan bahwa mulai meluncurkan kemampuan untuk bisa menghapus akun Threads tanpa harus menghapus Instagram.

Initially, because Threads is integrated directly with Instagram, you can't delete your Threads account. But now, you can delete your Threads profile separately from your Instagram account.

To delete your Threads profile, the method is quite easy, visit Account > Settings > Delete or Disable Profile > then select delete.

Recently, Meta has also introduced a feature that allows users to see Threads posts directly on Facebook and Instagram.

We recently introduced a feature that makes it easy for people to see Live Threads posts on Facebook and Instagram, to help expand your audience and grow your reach, Mosseri wrote in a follow-up Threads post, on Tuesday, November 14.

"We're hearing feedback that you want to better control your experience, so we're rolling out a way to opt out of Threads in Privacy Privacy Arrangements," he concluded.

In addition, Meta also released the Threads feature to hide uploads from other platforms. So, Threads users don't have to worry about their uploads going to Instagram and Facebook recommendations.
