JAKARTA - This month, Meta seems to be developing a lot of new features on Instagram. Most recently, Meta is testing a feature that allows users to invite friends to join their feed posts.

"New test alert. We're just starting to test a new way to invite friends to join your feed posts," wrote Instagram Head Adam Mosseri in his announcement on the Instagram broadcast channel.

Based on the screenshot provided, how this feature works is, you can invite your friends on Instagram to add photos or videos to the carousel post on the Instagram feed.

Once your friends add their photos or videos to the post, you can agree or disagree that the content is added to the carousel post.

"Before posting the carousel you can turn on your follower's ability to send photos and/or videos, which you can agree to add to the post," Mosseri explained further.

But apparently, as this is still a trial, the feature can only be used by some small people. However, Mosseri did not say when this feature would be released globally.

A few days ago, Mosseri also announced testing a special button for a verification account on Instagram, allowing Instagram users to view custom uploads, both feeds and Reels, from Verified Meta users or have paid blue ticks.

Previously, Instagram was also testing a sticker-making feature, which allows users to create stickers specifically from their own photos, and can be used into Reel or Stories.
