JAKARTA - Udemy, a company that is committed to improving the quality of life through learning, has just released the Global Workplace Learning Index Q2 2023, a report that is routinely published every three months.

By analyzing data from nearly 15,000 Udemy Business users worldwide, the report reveals that the skills in the field of a generating AI remain the main choice in various industrial sectors.

In Indonesia, ChatGPT is the most popular topic, with an increase of 142 percent in Q2 2023 compared to the previous quarter.

In fact, the use of generative AI is now also increasingly expanding into non-technical fields such as marketing, human resource management, sales, and project management.

Udemy's Global Working Learning Index highlights the increased consumption of topics such as ChatGPT, which has increased by 386 percent globally, Generative AI (278 percent), and Prompt Engineering (190 percent).

Companies are also starting to explore the more in-depth use of generative AI to exploit it, such as increasing search engine optimization (SEO), simplifying the talent recruitment process, increasing customer support service responsiveness, and creating personalized email marketing messages.

"It's no surprise that ChatGPT continues to be a hot topic among Indonesian professionals because every role in the company has the potential to use it for operational efficiency," said Giri Suhardi, Head of Indonesia at Udemy.

Thus, Giri emphasized that this underscores the need for companies to reconsider their approach to AI-generative to benefit from AI through the process of improving their workforce skills.

"Companies investing in training employees to use new technologies will effectively set higher performance benchmarks and achieve larger business results," he concluded.
