JAKARTA - The Directorate General of Customs and Excise (DJBC) proposes an indicative ceiling for the 2027 fiscal year of IDR 2.81 trillion to support the national development agenda which focuses on accelerating quality economic growth through increased productivity, investment, and the industrial sector.

"The 2027 DJBC work plan is realized or drafted to support accelerated quality growth with 3 main programs supported by a budget of Rp. 2.81 trillion," said Director General of Customs and Excise Djaka Budhi Utama in a public hearing (RDP) with Commission XI of the DPR, Monday, June 15.

Djaka explained that the budget was designed to support four main strategic objectives, namely strengthening fiscal policy, improving diplomacy and economic cooperation, optimizing state revenues, and strengthening the effectiveness of supervision and support for economic activities.

He explained that the budget allocation would be divided into three main programs, namely, the Fiscal Policy Program, the Finance and Economy Sector of Rp. 4.16 billion.

The program includes various activities such as the formulation of ASEAN Harmonized Tariff Nomenclatures, customs value policies resulting from international negotiations, assistance for international cooperation in the field of customs and taxes, to surveys on the economic impact of customs facilities.

Second, the State Revenue Management Program with an allocation of Rp. 749.37 billion, and the funds will be used for a number of programs such as strengthening the joint task force to eradicate illegal goods, synergy in maritime patrols, customs audits and inspections, handling objections and lawsuits, promoting SME exports, socialization activities, and drafting administrative policies.

Third, the Management Support Program of IDR 2.05 trillion which will be focused on harmonizing regulations, legal assistance services, as well as the management and development of organizations and human resources.

Djaka added that the budget would also support seven priority activities of the DJBC, ranging from international economic diplomacy, public education, monitoring fiscal and economic conditions, supervision and law enforcement, to improving the quality of public services.

In addition, a number of strategic programs will also be the focus of funding, such as strengthening the Joint Task Force on Illegal Goods, customs audits and inspections, export promotion of MSMEs, transformation of bonded storage facilities (TPB), and the development of the Smart Customs system and CEISA 4.0 infrastructure.

"Through this opportunity, we respectfully ask the Chairman and Members of Commission XI to be able to approve the proposed work plan and indicative ceiling of the Directorate of Customs of IDR 2.8 trillion," he said.
