Manufacturing Raw Material Procurement Platform, Bababos Wins Initial Funding Of IDR 46 Billion

JAKARTA - The manufacturing raw material procurement platform, Bababos, announced the completion of an initial funding round of US$3 million (Rp46.1 billion) led by East Ventures, and several other investors, Patamar Capital and Accion Venture Lab.

With this funding, Bababos will build a seamless platform in connecting small and medium-sized industrial manufacturing (IKM) with the best suppliers of raw materials.

"We are increasingly optimistic about the existing market potential, seeing the enthusiasm of IKM manufacturing players which increased significantly until the end of the third quarter," said Bababos Co-Founder & CEO Fajar Adiwidodo in an official statement.

Fajar also added that this fund will also be allocated to support the technological foundation and empower human resources in accelerating Bababos' business expansion which is currently available in the Jabodetabek and Surabaya areas.

"In the future, we will continue to renew our partnership strategy with suppliers in order to provide quality raw materials at the best prices," he added.

The advantages of Bababos' solution cannot be separated from the use of technology that supports business performance. By integrating a modern approach, Bababos digitizes all procurement processes and utilizes big data to accurately classify demand based on the needs of raw materials and geographical distribution.

This digitization then allows Bababos to make faster and timely deliveries from suppliers to customers, while providing seamless and cost-saving experiences.

More than that, Bababos is currently developing a new feature in its service in the form of a web application that allows IKM players and suppliers to carry out online and integrated transaction processes.

Since its launch, Bababos has experienced significant growth and reached more than 400 IKM manufacturing. In its mission to revolutionize supply chains by providing fair access to the manufacturing industry, Bababos targets to reach 1,000 IKM manufacturing by the end of 2023.
