JAKARTA - Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg was seen showing off a new keyword search feature for Threads, his text-based social media and X competitor.
In his post on Threads, Zuckerberg uploaded a meme of actor Vin Diesel saying, "I'm sure you'll enjoy this."
"Get excited - search is coming to Threads," Zuckerberg said.
The feature with the ability to search for a post is currently being tested, previously users could only search for usernames in Threads.
The trial was first presented for Australia and New Zealand. Threads plans to roll it out more widely to other English-speaking countries.

"We are actively listening to community input and working on more features to improve the search experience," Meta said in a statement, quoted from TechCrunch, Friday, September 1.
Lately, the company has been working hard to keep users from leaving Threads by bringing many new features like a place to see posts that users have liked, a repost tab, a web version of the app, a Following feed that makes the app more user-friendly, and now full-text search.
Unfortunately, Threads has not added a Direct Message (DM) feature where users can only share their or other people's posts via Instagram DM.
