RevComm announced that they are rolling out a new feature that allows its AI-based smartphone, MiitTel, to identify a person's emotions while making phone calls or online meetings.

Speech emotion recognition or speech emotional recognition is a technology that allows users to recognize and visualize positive or negative emotional levels in online conversations.

By combining artificial intelligence (AI) and speech emotional recognition capabilities, this new MiitTel feature is claimed to make it easier for users to monitor and evaluate the quality of conversations they have.

In addition to smartphones, this voice emotional recognition feature is also available for Miitel Meetings, an AI-based online meeting analysis tool that can support business communications on Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Google Meet platforms.

The company said the way the speech emotion recognition feature in MiitTel works will take advantage of color. The darker green color shows a higher level of happy emotions.

Then, the darkder orange indicates a higher level of negative emotions. Meanwhile, gray represents the level of neutral emotions.

Interestingly, this feature can not only be seen by MiiTel users, but also from the customer's perspective so that both parties can monitor the quality of the calls they make.

Previously, MiiTel had also announced ChatGPT support on its smartphones. This feature supports the creation of a summary of phone conversations automatically with ChatGPT.
