JAKARTA - The company behind the ChatGPT AI chatbot, OpenAI has announced several updates to its ChatGPT app on iOS, including the integration of Shortcuts.
Now you can create ChatGPT prompts in Shortcuts and save them as a link between AI tools and various other applications.
Another update coming to the ChatGPT iOS app is, you can ask Siri to open ChatGPT or create this Shortcut. The ChatGPT app for iOS already uses OpenAI's Whisper speech recognition for voice input, with Siri further expanding its accessibility.
More than that, in the application description on the App Store, OpenAI said that currently the ChatGPT application can be downloaded and used on the iPad.
"iPad compatibility: This app now takes advantage of the entire iPad screen," wrote OpenAI in its app description on the app store.
Previously, iPad users weren't getting the full-screen experience when using OpenAI apps only formatting them for iPhone-sized displays.
Lastly, OpenAI is also bringing a new drag and drop feature which will allow you to be able to drag messages from the interface and to other applications. It's a bit like the manual version of Shortcuts.

This update follows ChatGPT's recent expansion across Apple's platforms, with OpenAI first launching its iOS app for US users in mid-May and soon bringing it to 11 other countries.
Prior to this update, the app already synced conversations to your computer and provided access to GPT-4 for ChatGPT Plus subscribers.
Meanwhile, ChatGPT continues to advance its presence on Apple devices, while Android owners still have to wait for the official app to be launched or not.
