JAKARTA - In the Google I/0 2023 event which was held some time ago, the search giant announced the expansion of its generative AI technology throughout Google Workspace.

"In the beginning of this year, we shared our vision of bringing a generative AI to Google Workspace, and giving users initial access to a feature that helps them write in Gmail and Google Docs," said Thomas Kurian, CEO, Google Cloud in a statement on Google blog.

Now, Google is introducing the AI for Google Workspace Duet, which combines the company's advanced generative AI features and allows users to collaborate with AI so they can complete more things every day.

The new feature for Google Workspace can be found in:

Gmail: In Gmail, Google added the ability to create a draft response that considers the context of your existing email and provides the experience on mobile devices.

Google Slides and Google Meet: With these features on Slides and Meet, Google provides you with the ability to easily create images from text descriptions.

"The custom image on the slide can help turn your story on, and on Meet the image can be used to create a custom background," explains Kurian.

Google Sheets: In Google Sheets, Google is now automating data classification and custom plan creation to help you analyze and set data faster than before.

But unfortunately, at this time, Google has only provided these features to trusted testers through Workspace Labs. Maybe Google will launch it soon to users globally in the future.

"The subscription continues to amaze us with their ideas and creativity and we hope to continue to help find their own way into the future with a generating AI," concluded Kurian.
