Minister Of Communication And Information: Digital Infrastructure And Public Communication Services Ahead Of The ASEAN Summit Is Optimal

JAKARTA - Minister of Communication and Information (Menkominfo) Johnny G. Plate monitors the readiness of digital infrastructure and public communication services that are already optimal and adequate, especially the media center, ahead of the implementation of the 42nd ASEAN Summit.

"In terms of preparation, everything has been almost completed, it is also supported by adequate telecommunications digital technology and infrastructure. Be it fiber optic, 4G Network and 4G Experience Network," said Johnny from the official website of the Ministry of Communication and Information, quoted Wednesday, May 3.

Johnny also hopes that in the future, Kominfo can properly transmit broadcasts of all events (ASEAN 42nd Summit), so that people can understand and take benefits from it.

Minister Johnny stated that public communication service facilities will be prepared according to standards with the Media Center during the G20 Presidency last year, while adjusting conditions in Labuan Bajo.

"This facility is expected to make it easier for media colleagues to cover and report the substance of the meeting and other aspects of the success of the 42nd ASEAN 2023 Summit," he said further.

The Minister of Communication and Information also noted that there have been 319 journalists from local, national, to regional to global media who will cover the activities of the ASEAN Summit in Labuan Bajo.

"Hopefully, everything will run smoothly and will bring and make Indonesia proud in the regional arena, in ASEAN, with three important pillars on the agenda of Mr. President Joko Widodo when the ASEAN Summit takes place in the next seven days," concluded Johnny.

In addition to monitoring the preparation of the media center, the Minister of Communication and Information Johnny G. Plate together with the Presidential Chief of Staff Moeldoko also monitored the Welcome Dinner location and the 42nd ASEAN 2023 Summit Retreat Session at the Masada Komodo Resort Hotel.
