Dell Technologies Creates Reimagined: #BuiltWithPrecision Challenge In Asia Pacific And Japan

JAKARTA - Dell Technologies launched a concept design challenge Reimagined: #BuiltWithPrecision that invites creative talent from the APJ (Asia Pacific Japan) region to redesign select locations using Dell Precision workstations.

From 11 April to 10 May 2023, 12 participants from six APJ countries will create conceptual designs by redesigning a selected location in their respective countries.

The task of the participants is to "revive" the building or location by considering technological and sustainability aspects, so that the building or location can become relevant again in today's modern world.

The participants came from various backgrounds, such as architecture students from universities in the region, aspiring architects, as well as budding creators and designers from Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, India, and South Korea.

Each participant who takes part in this challenge will also receive a Precision workstation laptop which must be used to realize their design concept during the challenge period.

“For more than 25 years, Dell Precision workstations have helped creators, students and professionals alike, around the world pursue and realize their creative ambitions,” said Paul Carter, vice president, Client Solutions Group, Asia Pacific and Japan, Dell Technologies in a written statement received in Jakarta.

"Challenge Reimagined: #BuiltWithPrecision is our way of empowering and realizing the vision or ideas of the next generation of creators with Precision," he added.

All Dell Precision systems include the Dell Optimizer for Precision which delivers unique features and is designed to optimize the performance of media-intensive applications.

Participants have 30 days to realize their ideas before submitting the final design concept by 10 May 2023, 23.59 Singapore time (22.59 WIB).

Some of the evaluation criteria for the judges from Dell Technologies in this challenge are as follows:  

• Innovation from the design concept
• Design quality
• Prominent use of technology
• Sustainability aspect
• The relevance of the concepts offered to the local cultural context.  

The winner of the Reimagined: #BuiltWithPrecision challenge will be announced in May 2023. The public will be able to view and vote for their favorite concept designs via each participant's LinkedIn page and Dell Technologies' LinkedIn account within 10 days of all submissions.
