JAKARTA - Following Nintendo and Microsoft, Ubisoft has confirmed that the studio will not be present at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2023.

This announcement comes one month after Ubisoft previously committed to attending the E3 2023 event which will take place in June at its traditional venue in the Los Angeles Convention Center.

However, in a statement to VGC, the company said it had now decided to cancel its presence at the game's exhibition.

Instead, Ubisoft said that they will be holding their own Ubisoft Forward Live event on June 12 in Los Angeles.

“E3 has nurtured unforgettable moments across the industry for years. While we originally intended to have an official E3 presence, we have made a subsequent decision to move in a different direction, and will be holding a Ubisoft Forward Live event on June 12 in Los Angeles," the company said.

While there are no full details about the live stream yet, Ubisoft promises to be able to share more details with players as soon as possible.

The E3 2023 is the first physical show of a leading industry event in four years, scheduled to take place from Tuesday, June 13 and has been taken over by ReedPop.

Under the format that was changed, the first two days of E3 2023 (13-14 June) will be provided specifically for businesses, while other days will include consumer visitors.

Before Ubisoft, Nintendo and Microsoft had also publicly announced that they would not be present on the E3 show floor.

In an update published earlier this month, ReedPop said that a complete list of exhibitors would be announced ahead of the exhibition, and would give participating companies the opportunity to make their previous announcements.
