JAKARTA - In the midst of the current ChatGPT euphoria, Google is ready to hold a live broadcast on YouTube, which will focus on its flagship products, namely Maps and Search, on the 8th of February.

Titled "Live from Paris", Google seems to have taken a step forward to compete with ChatGPT, which it claims will pose a threat to its search engine.

"We're changing the way people search, explore, and interact with information, making it more natural and intuitive than ever to find what you need," Google wrote in its live stream description.

"Join us to learn about how we open greater access to information to people everywhere, through Search, Maps, and more," the company added.

Some time ago even Google was finally getting ready to overtake the ChatGPT market made by OpenAI, by starting to test a chatbot based on Artificial Intelligence (AI) named Apprentice Bard.

As VOI has explained, Apprentice Bard is a project under its cloud unit called Atlas, and a code red effort to respond to ChatGPT.

Based on some of the responses, Apprentice Bard's answer was able to cover current events, a feature ChatGPT doesn't yet have. Apprentice Bard uses Google's LaMDA conversational technology, or Language Model for Dialogue Applications.

Google's latest move sees ChatGPT as a threat to its search business and indeed the company has plans to set up a chatbot competitor.
