JAKARTA - As promised late last year, Sony stated that it would now be much easier to find PlayStation 5 (PS5) stock at retailers globally. The company believes they have now emerged from a supply crisis.
“If you are looking to buy a PS5 console, you will find it easier to find at global retailers,” said VP of brand, hardware, and peripherals at Sony Interactive Entertainment, Isabelle Tomatis.
After two years of supply challenges, Sony thanked fans for their patience in the face of unprecedented demand since the launch of the PS5 in November 2020.
For those living in the United States (US), United Kingdom, France, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg who wish to purchase Sony products, the company recommends its own PlayStation direct store. There are various bundles available alongside the basic digital and disc PS5 console.
Because, Sony believes its supply issues have been resolved, they have now unveiled a new PS5 commercial which was filmed in the style of a live news channel with lots of game references.
There's even a brief reference to Destiny 2. Fans may also get to see clips of some of their favorite PlayStation exclusive titles over the last few years. Ghost of Tsushima, Stray, Gran Turismo 7 all have featured clips.

Apart from that, Sony is also working with content creators on social media to further market the PS5 and carry out a series of live promotions from PS5.
This new marketing push also comes right after the launch of the new DualSense Edge controller and a few weeks before the Sony PlayStation VR2 launches on February 22.
The PSVR2 headset is a big improvement over the original, with an OLED display, a 110-degree field of view, and 4K HDR support. It also supports up to 120Hz for smoother frame rates and gameplay.
VR2 will have more than 30 games in its launch window, including Gran Turismo 7, Resident Evil Village and Horizon Call of the Mountain. This was quoted from The Verge, Tuesday, January 31.
