JAKARTA - Several Microsoft 365 services experienced an interruption Wednesday, January 25 which affected users around the world, but now the company has announced that it has recovered.

The issue has disrupted access to a large number of services including Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, Outlook, Xbox Live, and Azure.

For Azure services, starting at 07:05 a.m. UTC, customers are experiencing issues with network connectivity, which manifests as network latency and/or timeouts when trying to connect to Azure resources in some regions, as well as other Microsoft services.

Microsoft stated the outage occurred due to changes it made to its Wide Area Network, which has now been finalized.

"We confirm that the affected services have recovered and remain stable. We are currently investigating some potential impacts to the Exchange Online Service. Further updates to the Exchange investigation will be made available in your admin center under SI#EX502694," tweeted @MSFT365.

Downdetector, which tracks website outages, also pointed to a reduced number of users reporting the problem.

Now, many people and businesses will breathe a sigh of relief now that Microsoft services are back online. But for the thousands of people who have lost access to the service, it's an inconvenience.

Considering how many rely on Big Tech to help day-to-day jobs and businesses with products that can't be controlled when something goes wrong.
