JAKARTA - Technology company Kontinental features innovations in vehicle development for future mobility needs at the 2023 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas.

"We are delivering a new era of mobility. At CES, we will demonstrate how it impacts vehicles at every level, from concrete to cloud," said Gilles Mabire, Chief Technology Officer, Continual Automotive in a statement on its official website.

According to Mabire, this innovation will cover the entire mobility experience, not only for drivers, but also for all forms of transportation, including road users.

At CES 2023, the company highlighted two sustainable solutions that come from its tire business, namely: ContiTread EcoPlus Green and Conti Urban, which show the superiority of Continual in terms of sustainability.

CONTROL will also showcase modules and sensors specifically designed for electromobility to support new, more efficient electric vehicles, road safety, and greener planets.

Furthermore, Kontinental will integrate the SoC family "CV3" with artificial intelligence (AI) from the company Ambarella into Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), to offer market scalable solutions that meet each other's needs for driving with help.

Testing and validation of the production intent sample will be carried out in 2023. The first series production is planned at the end of 2024.

There is also a x-Domain Continual Zone Control Unit (ZCU) that can realize full functions for vehicles controlled with software. ZCU reduces the complexity of vehicle networks and costs.

To ensure vehicles can develop with software, Continutal offers a Continual Automotive Edge Framework (CAEDGE), which connects the vehicle to the cloud.

This allows connected vehicles to thrive throughout the lifecycle with fast and convenient software updates.

Lastly, Continual is not only focused on making driving safer, but also more intuitive and immersive for drivers or passengers.
