BYD 'Beyond' Electric Car Community Successfully Holds Jakarta-Malang Long Distance Trip

JAKARTA - The official community of BYD electric cars users in Indonesia, Beyond, has successfully organized long-distance trips with the Jakarta route to Malang.

In the event which took place in the middle of this month, a total of 25 BYD electric cars were various models that took part. Starting from Dolphin, Atto 3, Seal to MPV of M6 electricity which launched at GIIAS 2024.

Beyond Community Chairman Ryan Chandra, said that the experience not only strengthens confidence in electric vehicle technology, but also strengthens family relations among community members. He hopes that events like this can inspire more people to switch to electric vehicles and participate in protecting the environment.

"We are very proud of the success of this road trip. This trip proves the ability of BYD electric vehicles to travel long distances at an efficient cost, as well as increase the solidarity of members while enjoying the natural beauty of Indonesia," he said, in an official statement received on Tuesday, December 31.

The journey begins with BYD Arista Tebet with a route covering Semarang, Surabaya, and ends in Malang. Each stop, including at BYD Arista Kenjeran Surabaya and BYD Arista Semarang, provides opportunities between members to meet and share experiences. In Surabaya, Beyond simultaneously inaugurated the East Java chapter, marking community expansion and strengthening inter-member ties.

The participants gained valuable experience in managing long-distance travel with EVs, utilizing efficient charging strategies at various SPKLUs along toll roads. Charging is carried out at strategic points such as the KM 207 rest area, KM 228, and KM 379, ensuring the journey runs smoothly and efficiently.

This experience eliminates concerns about limited travel distance (range anxiety), proving that EVs are reliable for long trips, particularly regarding the practice of long-distance EV driving through the Trans Java toll road with an efficient charging strategy at SPKLU.

The readiness of supporting infrastructure such as SPKLU which is spread along the route as well as the capable capabilities of BYD technology, gives drivers confidence. The more fast charging facilities in the rest area, the total travel time including rest and lunch is almost the equivalent of traveling using conventional vehicles. This confirms that EVs are not only environmentally friendly but also efficient in terms of time.
