JAKARTA - Two artist sisters Kylie Jenner and Kim Kardashian are known to upload stories about criticism directed at Instagram.

The post contains their desire not to create an Instagram like TikTok. Because, as many of us know, Mark Zuckerberg has ambitions to make Instagram a video-based application from what was previously only photos.

"Make Instagram, Instagram again," the two sisters posted. Furthermore, the post said, "Stop imitating TikTok, I just want to see funny photos from my friends."

As an influential influencer on Instagram with more than 300 million followers, of course, it will have an impact on the application.

Looking back at 2018, Jenner criticized Snapchat's design, which was considered Instagram-like. As a result, Snap's stock fell seven percent. Because of this, the head of the Instagram app, Adam Mosseri, recently posted Reels on Instagram, which clarified the criticism.

"We're experimenting with a number of different changes to the app, so we've heard a lot of concern from all of you," Mosseri said in his video post.

However, Mosseri admits that the trial of this video-focused feed is "not very good" and still needs to be improved, before it is officially released to all Instagram users.

Furthermore, the head of the social networking application revealed a clarification regarding the photos in the application that were getting less and less. He confirmed that Instagram will continue to support photos, because that is the legacy of the app a long time ago.

"I believe that Instagram will become video over time. We see this even if we don't change anything. We see this even if you only look at the chronological feed," he continued.

One more thing, regarding criticism from Kim Kardashian and Kylie Jenner who wanted to see photos of their friends in the feed, Mosseri said that all of the growth in content was mostly in Stories and DMs.

"We'll continue to show photos and videos from friends to the top of our Feed whenever we can, but the best way to keep up with friends seems to be with other sections of Instagram," he said.
