JAKARTA - Spotify Technology SA on Tuesday, April 12 changed the name of its live audio streaming service to Spotify Live and announced lots of new content by top artists, as the format is duplicated during virtual events to continue to attract viewers.
Launching in June 2021 as Spotify Greenroom, the service will be available as a standalone app and as a live streaming function in the main Spotify app.
“Listeners can listen to live programs and take part in live chats via the creator or artist Spotify page,” the company said in a blog post.

As part of the launch, the musical group Swedish House Mafia will feature a DJ set on April 15, and comedian Hasan Minhaj will launch a live streaming podcast on the NBA playoffs starting in May.
"The show will be available in select markets," the company said.
This is an extension of a new feature that Spotify has, whose main goal is to capture the market and monetize every opportunity they can.
